NORTH COUNTY–Authorities conducted a warrant sweep on Saturday in the north county that netted multiple arrests, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department said.

The result of the operation netted 20 misdemeanor arrests, no felony arrests with 26 warrants being cleared.

Units from the San Diego Court Services Bureau, Vista Field Office, City of San Marcos and City of Vista Sheriff Commands, conducted the warrant sweep from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The operation consisted of several teams with their primary mission to focus on unserved, outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants. The operation covered the cities of Vista, San Marcos and Escondido.  

The operation was funded in part by the Sheriff’s Warrant System Automation Trust Fund.
