SANTEE–Authorities are searching for the driver of a pick-up truck who allegedly tried to lure a male juvenile walking from school into his vehicle.

On January 10, at about 3:15 p.m, a 12-year-old boy was walking home from Rio Seco School in Santee near 9901 Riverwalk Drive when an unknown man pulled up to him in a newer model white Ford F-150 pick-up truck.

The man told the juvenile he was sent by his father to pick him up and to get in the truck. The juvenile took off running to a nearby apartment complex. The man was last seen driving eastbound on Riverwalk Drive.

During the investigation, the juvenile’s mother said neither she nor the juvenile’s father asked to have their son picked up. The juvenile described the unknown male as a tan white male adult, about 40 to 49-years-old age, with short blonde hair, stubble on his face, wearing a brown Hurley baseball cap, and a white, blue, and baby blue short-sleeved plaid shirt.

The vehicle is described as a dirty, newer model, single cab white Ford F-150 pick-up truck (Unknown license plate), lifted with black rims.
