OCEANSIDE–One man is dead and two other males sustained serious gunshot wounds during multiple shootings in an Oceanside neighborhood, authorities said Saturday.
At about 8 p.m., Oceanside police officers responded to the 3100 block of Jacqueline Lane to investigate numerous 911 calls regarding gunshots being fired in the neighborhood.
Upon their arrival, officers were contacted by several witnesses who stated multiple people had been shot. Additional 911 callers then reported the injured parties were transported to the hospital by family members.
Officers went to Tri-City Medical Center and found three gunshot victims. A 46-year-old adult male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is listed in critical condition. A 26-year-old adult male victim had a single gunshot wound and is in serious condition. The third victim, 29-year-old adult male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries.
Oceanside police detectives are currently investigating the incident.
