El Cajon, CA–A former employee at Grossmont High School was arrested after authorities investigated an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
Police said they were notified in April 2026 by staff at Grossmont High School after school officials discovered an inappropriate relationship between an adult staff member who worked as a Performance Expert and a student.
According to investigators, the alleged relationship occurred for approximately one month, between March and April. The Grossmont Union High School District immediately terminated the employee’s employment after learning of the allegations.
Following an investigation, El Cajon police obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect.
On Aug. 24, Jayden Joe Lang, 19, of San Diego, was arrested on 12 felony charges, including statutory rape, authorities said.
Police said investigators have not identified any other known incidents involving Lang.
The El Cajon Police Department said it remains committed to protecting students and conducting thorough investigations into allegations involving minors.
