SAN DIEGO–A driver got out of his vehicle after collided with a deer, and mysteriously fell 50 feet to his death, traffic authorities said on Tuesday.
CHP dispatch was notified just after 4:30 a.m. of a traffic collision on northbound State Route 125 south of State Route 54. Upon arrival, CHP units located a black 2007 Audi A3 that had crashed into a deer blocking the right hand lane.
The driver exited his vehicle after hitting the deer. Somehow the driver ended up over the side and dropped down approximately 50 feet. As a result of falling, the driver sustained fatal injuries.
The cause of the collision and the driver’s death are still under investigation.
