SAN DIEGO–The Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego marathon scheduled to take place June 5 and 6 has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While it was disappointing to cancel the marathon, event organizers were more concerned about the safety of all the runners.

“The event will be better positioned for a strong return in the fall of 2021. The new 2021 event date is currently being finalized with local officials and will be communicated as soon as possible,” organizers wrote on their webpage. “Our team will continue to work hard developing and refining operational plans in a manner consistent with local community objectives and within the guidelines and recommendations set by public health entities as it relates to COVID-19.”

Registered participants are expected to receive an email with more information. If you are registered for the 2021 Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego event and have not received this e-mail or have additional questions, please contact rnrsd@runrocknroll.com.
