San Diego, CA–The Pac-12 has confirmed retaining its DirectTV Holiday Bowl partnership for the 2024 and 2025 football seasons.
This decision comes after cooperative efforts with the ACC, Big 12, and Big Ten conferences to maintain each affiliation, ensuring a robust lineup of bowl games.
The Pac-12 will continue its associations with the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, Starco Brands LA Bowl hosted by Gronk, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Valero Alamo Bowl, and the ESPN bowl pool. The DIRECTV Holiday Bowl will share the second selection after the College Football Playoff (CFP) with the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. The Holiday Bowl will also continue to feature a top-tier team from the ACC.
Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego, the organizing group for the annual Holiday Bowl, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership.
“This is absolutely what is best for our bowl game, the San Diego community, and for the entire bowl system. We look forward to staging one of the nation’s premier bowl matchups at Snapdragon Stadium this December,” Neville said.
Throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons, each of the Pac-12’s bowl partners will adhere to the agreed-upon selection process among current and former Pac-12 football teams.
The exact date and time for the 2024 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl kickoff will be announced soon.
