Carlsbad, CA–A motorist suffered minor injuries Tuesday when she collided with a commercial vehicle parked on the side of the road and rolled over on a street in a residential area in Carlsbad.
Carlsbad police received a call of a traffic collision at around 7:23 p.m. in the 2500 block of Avenida de Anita and Via Esparto. When officers arrived at the scene, they located the female driver in a black Volkswagen Jetta.
The Carlsbad Fire Department personnel were able to rescue the woman and transport her to a local hospital for treatment.
According to Carlsbad police, the woman may have experienced a medical emergency prior to crashing into the vehicle. The force of the crash also damaged another vehicle in front of the commercial vehicle.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
