SPRING VALLEY–Detectives with the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail arrested a second suspect in the Wednesday night fatal shooting of a man in Spring Valley.

Alejandro Pearce, of Spring Valley was apprehended by Fugitive Task Force and homicide detail detectives just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

Pearce was captured without incident in the 10700 block of US Elevator Road in Spring Valley, while detectives were executing a search warrant at his nearby home.

Pearce was booked into the San Diego Central Jail on one count of first degree murder  and one count of assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail. There are no other outstanding suspects, according to authorities.

Homicide detectives arrested the first suspect on Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting. Due to the suspect’s age, the name of the juvenile arrested for one count of murder is not being released.

The shooting victim succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
