Apple TV+ has announced an impressive lineup for its upcoming series “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!,” a new 10-episode show inspired by the Emmy Award-nominated phenomenon “Yo Gabba Gabba!”
Premiering globally on August 9, the series promises to take viewers on a journey through a magical world of endless possibilities, featuring beloved characters and introducing new friends.
Hosted by rising star Kamryn Smith, known as Kammy Kam, “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” will see the return of original characters Brobee (Amos Watene), Foofa (Emma Penrose), Muno (Adam Deibert), Toodee (Erin Pearce), and Plex (Christian Jacobs). The show will also include a dazzling lineup of “Super Music Friends” and special guests, poised to captivate audiences with vibrant musical performances.
This season’s musical guests include Grammy Award-winning artists Anderson Paak, Portugal. The Man, and Thundercat. Other notable performers are Betty Who, The Linda Lindas, Miyavi, Cory Wong, Antwaun Stanley, Kurt Vile, The Drums, and The Interrupters. Their performances will complement the themes of each episode, which encompass creativity, growth, and friendship, offering valuable life lessons through song and dance for kids and families.
The series will also feature a range of notable guest stars, including Reggie Watts (“Tuca & Bertie,” “The Late Late Show With James Corden”), Emmy Award winner Sam Richardson (“The Afterparty”), Gillian Jacobs (“Community”), Utkarsh Ambudkar (“Ghosts”), SAG Award winner Lauren Lapkus (“Orange Is the New Black”), SAG Award nominee Chelsea Peretti (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Grammy Award winners Diplo, Flea, and Big Daddy Kane, and Academy Award winner Paul Williams.
Created by Emmy Award-nominated Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, co-creators of “Yo Gabba Gabba!,” the series is produced in partnership with WildBrain and Yo Gabba Gabba, LLC. Jacobs and Schultz serve as executive producers, alongside Josh Scherba and Stephanie Betts for WildBrain.
