SAN DIEGO–Timothy Lambesis, 32, lead singer for the rock group “As I Lay Dying,” pleaded guilty to one felony count of solicitation of murder in connection with his estranged wife.
Lambesis entered the plea in San Diego Superior Court today and is facing nine years in state prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 2.
The defendant remains out of custody on a $3 million bail and has been ordered to stay away from his wife and children, to surrender his passport and to remain in San Diego County on GPS monitoring.
Lambesis was initially arrested by San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies in Oceanside on May 7.
