OCEANSIDE–A 47 year-old female pedestrian is in serious condition after she was struck Saturday by a motorcycle while crossing a street in Oceanside.
Oceanside police department says the 1:52 p.m. collision occurred at the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and Garrison Street. The rider of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries. Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Although the investigation is ongoing, preliminary investigation reveals the pedestrian was crossing outside the crosswalk and against the red light, according to several witnesses. Alcohol is not a factor in this collision.
The investigation of the accident is ongoing.
