San Diego County Fair opens applications for nonprofit programs

By SDCN Staff

Del Mar, CA–Two signature programs supporting nonprofit participation in the 2026 San Diego County Fair are now accepting applications.

The “Fair for All” ticket donation program and the “Community Corner” booth space program are designed to amplify community voices and ensure broad access to the region’s most beloved summer tradition.

“At its heart, the San Diego County Fair is a celebration of our diverse communities,” said Carlene Moore, CEO of the 22nd District Agricultural Association, the organization that owns and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds and produces the annual Fair. “These programs are a meaningful way for us to continue connecting with San Diegans, ensuring access, engagement, and representation at our Fair from across our region.”

The Fair for All program invites eligible nonprofit organizations to apply for donated admission tickets, enabling the communities they serve — especially underserved and underrepresented groups — to enjoy the Fair’s magic, excitement, and tradition.

Organizations must align with the Fair’s mission of fostering connection through shared interests, diverse experiences, and community service with an emphasis on entertainment, recreation, agriculture, and education. Approved applicants will receive complimentary tickets to distribute directly to their constituents.

The 2026 Fair will open June 10 through July 5, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, for a 20-day season. The Fair features rides, games, live music, comedy and entertainment, food stands, exhibits, shopping, and more. The Fair theme, Once Upon a Fair, celebrates the joy of reading, storytelling, and imagination.

Applications must be submitted online by April 15, 2026, at sdfair.com/fairforall.
