One dead after shooting in Vista

Vista, CA–A shooting incident left one man dead, and seriously wounded four males near downtown Vista early Saturday morning, authorities said.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call from a cell phone near Civic Center Drive in Vista around 2:30 a.m.

Shortly, five males arrived at Palomar Hospital with four of the males suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, a 19-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries. Two other unidentified male victims are in critical condition.

Homicide detectives arrived to collect evidence, interview witnesses, and locate a crime scene.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Homicide Unit at (858) 285-6330/after hours at (858) 565-5200. You can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
