Oceanside, CA–The Oceanside Police Department will host its annual National Night Out celebration on August 4, inviting residents of all ages to join law enforcement officers, first responders, and community organizations for an evening focused on public safety and neighborhood engagement.
The free event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Oceanside Police Department, 3855 Mission Ave. The first 400 attendees will receive complimentary food vouchers while supplies last.
National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August to strengthen partnerships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. The event provides residents with an opportunity to meet police officers and professional staff, learn about public safety programs, and connect with local organizations in a family-friendly setting.
This year’s celebration will feature food vendors, community resource booths, free games and activities, raffles, live entertainment, police K-9 demonstrations, guided tours of the police station and the popular Dunk-a-Cop tank.
The Oceanside Police Department joins thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country in celebrating National Night Out, America’s signature event promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement. Organizers say the annual event brings together residents, businesses, community organizations, and first responders to strengthen relationships and foster a safer community.
