Oceanside, CA–A 13-year-old girl was seriously injured Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in Oceanside, according to authorities.
The collision was reported at approximately 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of Douglas Drive and Pala Road, the Oceanside Police Department said.
Police said the girl, an Oceanside resident, suffered major injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. She is currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle may be a gray Toyota Camry with front-end damage, based on preliminary information.
