San Diego, CA–The Gaslamp Quarter will go to the dogs—and cats—once again when the 17th annual Holiday Pet Parade and Pups in the Pub Party returns on December 13 in San Diego.
The festive tradition invites pet lovers to “deck the paws” as animals of all kinds strut their stuff through downtown San Diego in a celebration of holiday cheer.
Parade check-in begins at 11 a.m. beneath the iconic Gaslamp Quarter Archway, where participants can also enter their pets in a costume contest. Awards will be given for Best Christmas Spirit, Best Matching Costumes, and the top honor—Best in Show.
The parade begins at 1 p.m., winding through the historic Gaslamp Quarter with live music, cheering crowds, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Expect to see Santa Paws, creative costumes, and pets channeling everything from elves to movie stars.
Following the parade, the Pups in the Pub Party will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. The after-party features craft beer, live entertainment, boutique shopping, games, photo opportunities, and complimentary goodie bags.
Registration is $30 and includes parade entry, photo op trail, a goodie bag, admission to the after-party, and eligibility for contest prizes. Space is limited, and early registration is available here.
