Oceanside, CA–The Oceanside Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one man dead at a residence early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Officers responded to a distress call regarding a shooting incident at a residence on the 1800 block of College Boulevard at 1:10 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers and personnel from the Oceanside Fire Department found a 26-year-old man, identified as Alex Hamilton, suffering from a gunshot wound. Hamilton was transported to Palomar Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Oceanside Police Department detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
