VISTA–A 59-year-old Vista businessman was found deceased inside his transmission repair shop, Sheriff’s deputies said on Sunday.
Deputies say at about 12:24 p.m., they responded to 1219 North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista for a report of a deceased person inside the business. When the deputies arrived they entered the business and found a deceased black male adult man with traumatic injuries inside. The man has been identified as Ruben Bodden, owner of the transmission repair shop at that address. Bodden had last been seen by his family on March 1 when he was going to the business. His body was discovered today by his wife.
The death is being investigation as a homicide by the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail, Vista Sheriff’s Station Detectives, and Crime Laboratory personnel.
