VISTA–A 39-year-old inmate found unresponsive in his cell at the Vista Detention Facility on November 20 died from a medical emergency, authorities said Friday.

The inmate, Antonio Miguel Gonzaba’s cause of death was fentanyl, bupropion, gabapentin, and trazodone toxicity. The manner of death was determined to be an accident, according to San Diego Sheriff’s Department spokesman, Lt. Thomas Seiver.

Gonzaba was booked at the Vista Detention Facility on September 4, 2019.

No evidence of foul play was discovered.
