Oceanside, CA–The City of Oceanside, along with local organizations, will compete for a Levitt Music Series Grant that could bring a free outdoor concert series to the city beginning in 2026.
The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation has partnered with the City of Oceanside’s Library and Cultural Arts, Parks and Recreation Departments, KOCT Television, and Six String Society to compete for the music grant.
The Levitt Foundation, a national nonprofit that funds free outdoor concerts across the country, will award multi-year matching grants to the U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits for the 2026–2028 cycle. Selected organizations will receive three years of funding to present 7 to 10 annual concerts in public spaces, featuring professional musicians and a range of music genres.
The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation’s proposal includes hosting concerts at Joe Balderrama Park, Martin Luther King Jr. Park, John Landes Park, and Mance Buchannon Park.
Public voting will determine 50 finalists. Voting is open through September 15 at 5 p.m. Votes can be cast online at levitt.org/vote
