Oceanside, CA–Fire crews battled a fire Tuesday night at an apartment complex laundry room in Oceanside, the Oceanside Fire Department said.

The Oceanside Fire Department, along with Carlsbad and Vista, responded to a reported apartment fire around 8:20 p.m. in the 140 block of Canyon Drive in Oceanside.

Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a fire in the complex’s laundry room.

Crews quickly pulled fire hose lines into the structure to search for potential victims, and to extinguish the fire. Another engine arrived on the scene shortly and searched adjoining units for any potential fire extension. No victims were found in the units. The blaze was contained in the laundry room and did not spread into any apartment units.

Additional crews assisted with securing the gas and electric and performed salvage and overhaul operations. SDGE crews arrived at the complex to restore gas and electric services to customers.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
