SAN DIEGO–Eleven additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported in San Diego county Tuesday bringing the region’s total to 222, according to the County Health and Human Services Agency.
The deceased are three women and eight men ranging in age from late 40s to 80s. All but one had underlying medical conditions that contributed to their deaths, with the one pending testing to determine if any were present.
Of 2,609 tests reported to the county Monday, 3% were positive new cases. The 14-day rolling average percentage of positive tests is 3.9%.
San Diego county resident total cases are now at 6,026, an increase from yesterday of 80. About 1,136 or 18.9% of cases have required hospitalization. Approximately 346 or 5.7% of all cases and 30.5% of all hospitalizations had to be placed in intensive care.
