SAN MARCOS–The city will present its annual Santa’s Magical Village at the San Marcos Civic Center December 5 and 6.
The event will feature an indoor holiday boutique as well as free activities for children including letters to Santa, cookie decorating, sand art, carnival games and more. Entertainment including bands and choral groups will be featured throughout the weekend. The Rockin’ Cranberry Carolers will be one of the the highlights of the weekend. There will be specialty food vendors onsite during the Tree Lighting on Saturday and throughout the event on Sunday. Santa will be available for visits and photos on both days.
The lighting of the San Marcos holiday tree will take place Dec. 5 at 6:30 pm. at 1 Civic Center Drive. Santa Claus will have the honor of climbing to the top of the tree and turning on thousands of twinkling lights. Entertainment for the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Pancake breakfast with Santa will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 9 to 11:30 am in the Community Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for children and may be purchased at the door.
