Latke

By SDCN Editor

Encinitas, CA–Meet Latke, the featured pet of the week at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas.

This affectionate canine is a 2-year-old, 44-pound, female Pit Bull mix. Latke’s journey began as a stray dog in Orange County, where she was later brought to an animal shelter. Fortunately, through the efforts of Friends of County Animal Shelters, Latke found her way to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

Latke is not only a charming companion but also bears a unique name inspired by a potato pancake. The $145 adoption fee covers Latke’s medical examination, spaying, up-to-date vaccinations, a registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home falls within the jurisdiction of the San Diego Humane Society.

Anyone interested in adopting Latke or learning more about the foster-to-adopt program, can visit the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas, contact them at (760) 753-6413, or visit www.SDpets.org.
