Oceanside, CA–Lifeguards rescued a woman who reportedly jumped from the pier in Oceanside on Wednesday morning, the Oceanside Fire Department said.

Authorities responded to multiple reports around 10:54 a.m. of a pier jumper. 

Lifeguards responded from the pier, located the woman at the depth on the ocean floor, and retrieved and brought her to the surface. Approximately ten minutes after dispatch, the victim was on the surface and transferred to a rescue boat. Lifeguards perform CPR in the back of the boat and met with fire department personnel at the Harbor Patrol Dock. The woman was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.

The victim’s identity and condition have not been released.
