DEL MAR–San Diego Sheriff’s detectives Wednesday afternoon arrested a man for attempted murder during a physical altercation October 30 in Spring Valley.
Detectives arrested 26-year-old Jesus Perez without incident in the 2600 block of Via De La Valle in Del Mar. Perez was booked into county jail for attempted murder.
The arrest stems from an early morning shooting in the 800 block of Broadview Street in Spring Valley. A fight occurred at the location after a party was breaking up. A male suspect, who was involved in the fight, shot a handgun numerous times. One male victim was struck. The victim was transported to a local hospital and survived. The suspect fled the scene. Detectives investigated the shooting and later identified Perez as the shooter.
The investigation is on-going.
