El Cajon police arrest parolee in residential burglary

By Gina Yarbrough

El Cajon, CA–El Cajon police arrested a parolee Thursday following reports of an intruder in a neighborhood, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call on Sept. 11 near the 1900 block of Fernbrook Court and found a man matching the suspect’s description speaking with a resident. Police detained the man and determined during their investigation that he had entered two separate homes and left burglary tools staged nearby.

The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Dominic Chuisano, a transient from El Cajon. Police said Chuisano is on parole for a previous burglary conviction and has been arrested several times since his release from prison in January. Each time, he was released on bail without parole revocation, authorities said.

Chuisano was booked into County Jail on two counts of residential burglary, as well as theft-related charges tied to another ongoing investigation. He remains in custody awaiting court proceedings.
