Motorcyclist seriously injured in Imperial Beach collision

Imperial Beach, CA–A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a crash involving a vehicle on Thursday morning, according to authorities.

The Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation reported that the incident occurred just after 8 a.m. in the 1300 block of Palm Avenue. Deputies responding to the scene discovered the motorcyclist unconscious and lying face down on the ground.

Deputies immediately administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. The victim, who was breathing at the time, was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team has been called in to determine the cause of the collision.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation at (619) 498-2400.
