SAN DIEGO–As part of a study to assess whether minority-, woman- and disabled veteran-owned businesses face barriers when bidding for the City of San Diego contracts, a free virtual meeting will be held to teach how a free invoice template can help you and gather input.
The City of San Diego has hired BBC Research & Consulting to conduct a disparity study to assess whether any barriers exist for these businesses that make it more difficult for them to compete for City contracts.
Business owners and interested parties are encouraged to register for the virtual meeting by visiting sandiego.gov/eoc/disparity-study/events. Attendees will learn more about the disparity study, be able to ask questions and share about their experiences. Participation from these business owners is essential for the city to improve its contracting process. The virtual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“The disparity study will measure participation and availability of minority-, disabled veteran-, and woman-owned businesses in City contracting,” said Christian Silva, Program Manager for the City of San Diego’s Equal Opportunity Contracting Program. “The study will also assess marketplace conditions for minority-, disabled veteran-, and woman-owned businesses.”
