SAN DIEGO–President Obama arrived at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Thursday to attend a private Democratic fundraiser in La Jolla at the home of philanthropist and Qualcomm co-founder Irwin Jacobs.

The president is in California to attend four political fundraisers in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Jose for the Democratic National Committee.

After Air Force One landed on the base, the president was greeted by the base commander and San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer. The president briefly spoke to the mayor before meeting with Marines and military families.

President Obama is in town to attend a $10,000-per-person luncheon at the home of Irwin and Joan Jacobs to benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
