San Diego, CA–A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon by a Coaster train in San Diego, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on the railroad tracks just north of Sassafras Street, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a northbound Coaster train.
There were no reported injuries to the employees or passengers on the train.
The name of the victim has not been released.
