OCEANSIDE–Oceanside Police Department released the name of an elderly man found deceased at his Oceanside home Tuesday morning.
The victim has been identified as 77-year-old John Anthony Roth.
Shortly before 7 a.m., Oceanside police responded to a call of a ‘non-breather’ in the 500 block of North Tremont Street. When officers arrived along with Oceanside Fire Department paramedics the victim was found deceased.
Roth had sustained trauma to his upper body. He was found by his wife when she returned home from her job at a local nursing home.
Oceanside police detectives are currently investigating the incident.
