Oceanside, CA–Oceanside had a surprise visit from Vice President JD Vance on Saturday afternoon.
Vance and his wife, Usha were in town to attend a wedding. Details of the visit were not released by White House officials.
Heavy security was present in the downtown area surrounding the Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa. Secret Service agents blocked off the streets and restricted traffic in the area. Other law enforcement agencies were also added to the security detail.
The vice president departed Oceanside on Monday.
