OCEANSIDE–The Oceanside Police Department is joining the Neighbors app, which aims to provide the Oceanside community with real-time local crime and safety information.
The Neighbors network has millions of users. It has been instrumental in identifying package thieves, stopping burglaries, and increasing neighborhood safety.
The police department’s goal is to work with the community to build trust and provide quality service that actively prevents crime, reduces the fear of crime and promotes safety. Their partnership with Ring and the Neighbors app will assist them in carrying out this mission.
The public can download the free Neighbors app (iOS/Android) to monitor neighborhood activity; share crime and safety-related videos, photos and text-based posts; and receive real-time safety alerts from your neighbors, local law enforcement and the Ring team.
