Sheriff’s Dept. investigating hit-and-run involving teen on e-bike

San Marcos, CA–The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station is investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a teen seriously injured while riding an e-bike. 

The collision occurred on Tuesday around 9 p.m. near West Mission Road and Knoll Road.

According to the initial investigation, a pickup truck struck the teen and then fled the scene. The injured teen was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The vehicle involved is described as a lifted white GMC Sierra from 2019 to 2021, with significant front-end damage, including a broken headlamp, fender, and antenna.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station at (760) 510-5200.
