Escondido, CA–Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a 32-year-old man in Escondido on Saturday.
Escondido police received calls shortly after 6 p.m. of an unconscious man lying in the roadway near Rock Springs Road and Seven Oaks Road. Several motorists stopped to assist and performed CPR on the victim.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released, pending notification of his family, the Escondido Police Department stated in a news release.
