Carlsbad, CA–A 23-year-old Carlsbad man was arrested Friday morning in connection with two separate incidents of indecent exposure reported by women in the downtown area, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.
Officers were able to identify and locate the suspect at his residence a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident and identified as Max Rasul. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on multiple charges, including indecent exposure and stalking.
The first report came in at approximately 8:34 a.m. when officers were called to the 700 block of Laguna Drive. A woman reported being followed by a man in a purple vehicle as she walked through the neighborhood.
While investigating the incident, police discovered that a similar encounter occurred earlier that morning near Laguna Drive and State Street. In that case, a man had allegedly exposed himself to another woman before leaving the area.
Authorities say the case remains under active investigation.
