Camp Pendleton, CA–A vegetation fire erupted Saturday afternoon within the Zulu Impact Area at Camp Pendleton, base officials said.
Camp Pendleton reported that smoke may be visible in Oceanside, Fallbrook, and other North County cities. There is no immediate threat to personnel or structures at this time. Currently, the blaze has burned approximately 200 acres with zero containment.
The fire, known as the Roblar Fire, was reported shortly after 2 p.m. along Case Springs Road, according to Cal Fire San Diego. Firefighters are actively working to contain the blaze and monitor its spread.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
