SAN DIEGO–The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 14815 Pomerado Road in Poway on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Wells Fargo Bank branch, located at 14815 Pomerado Road in Poway, was robbed by an unknown male. At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and then paused at the customer island located in the middle of the lobby. The robber then went to the victim teller’s station and presented a demand note. He also made a verbal demand for money. After receiving a sum of money, the robber exited the bank and was last seen fleeing in a southwardly direction. No weapon was displayed and no injuries reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as white, mid-20s; approximately 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build and dark hair. He was last scene wearing a dark baseball cap, dark jacket and pants, carried a dark backpack, and white gauze-like bandage around lower jaw and neck.
