SAN DIEGO–Law Enforcement Officers throughout San Diego County were honored for their efforts and accomplishments in regards to the recovery of stolen vehicles.
The 27th Annual Auto Theft Advisory Committee (ATAC) Awards Ceremony took place March 29 at The Prado Restaurant at Balboa Park in San Diego.
The recipients were recognized for their efforts in recovering stolen vehicles in San Diego County. The Chiefs of Police, CHP, and Sheriffs from 33 law enforcement offices throughout the County were present along with city, state, and county officials.
Combined, these 33 officers, representing almost every law enforcement agency in San Diego county, recovered 611 vehicles, valued at approximately $5,508,927.00 and arrested 143 suspects.
Each officer was awarded a plaque from the Auto Theft Advisory Committee. The overall top officer’s agency received a perpetual plaque and the ATAC also will make a donation in the top officer’s name to the charity of his/her choice.
