OCEANSIDE–One woman suffered smoke inhalation and two families from Utah were displaced Sunday morning after a blaze damaged a vacation rental home in Oceanside.

Oceanside firefighters responded, just after midnight, to the structure fire at a three-story, two-unit home, located in the 1000 block of South Pacific Street.

Other firefighters from Carlsbad, Vista, and Camp Pendleton also responded to the scene.

Oceanside Fire Department investigators said a clothes dryer inside the home caught fire. The blaze destroyed the dryer and washing machine.

The building’s property management company relocated the occupants to nearby vacant rental units so they could continue their vacation, officials said.

The vacation rental home property management relocated the family to another home.

The fire is under investigation.
