EL CAJON–Two adult males Thursday were arrested in connection with the burglary of a market in unincorporated El Cajon, authorities say.
The suspects, 26-year-old Everett Luther and 32-year-old Travis Murry of Lakeside, were charged with the January 8 burglary of Rainbow Farms Market, located at 1335 La Cresta Boulevard.
Alpine detective learned Murray had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest for unrelated burglary charges.
The two men entered the building by removing a large vent on the rooftop. They forced their way through the ceiling and climbed down inside the market. Once inside, the men stole a large quantity of cigarettes and lottery tickets. The men then climbed back out of the building and fled before deputies arrived on scene, according to detectives.
The men had cashed lottery tickets from the market at numerous locations throughout East County, and are being charged with additional counts of burglary.
