Chula Vista, CA–Chula Vista police Friday afternoon served a second search warrant at the South Bay home of missing mother Maya Millete.
Investigators served the search warrant at around 4:30 p.m. at the residence in the 2400 block of Paseo Los Gatos, according to authorities at the location. Maya shared the home with her husband, Larry, and their three children.
Chula Vista police did not reveal the details of the search citing ongoing investigation of the case.
On January 10, Chula Vista police were notified of her disappearance and conducted a search of the home and vehicles. Detectives returned to the home January 11 for additional interviews of people and searched the home and vehicles a second time. On April 1, detectives served a search warrant at Larry Millete’s relatives’ home.
Detectives have conducted additional searches of vehicles, cellular and electronic devices, call detail records, financial records, social media and cloud data.
Chula Vista police are also aware of several bangs recorded on a home video security system near the Millete residence during the night of May’s disappearance. Police said the bangs are being reviewed and analyzed by investigators to determine if they were gunshots.
Four months have passed since the January 7 disappearance of Maya. Friends and family members of the Chula Vista mother have conducted endless searches at several locations in the South Bay area in hopes of finding her.
Last month, the Chula Vista Police Department announced the formal partnership of a multi-agency working group including the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI, and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service with the primary goal of bringing Maya home to her family or bringing justice to the family regarding her disappearance.
