San Diego, CA–The U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a small boat carrying 11 suspected undocumented migrants on Tuesday morning, about 13 miles northwest of Mission Bay.
According to officials, a boarding team from the Coast Guard Cutter Forrest Rednour stopped an 18-foot panga around 8 a.m. The individuals aboard, all of whom claimed Mexican nationality, were taken into custody.
The Coast Guard transported the vessel and all the occupants to another Department of Homeland Security agency at Ballast Point for further processing.
