CA Speaker-Elect Toni Atkins
SAN DIEGO–The San Diego LGBT Community Center will host its 6th annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast on May 22 at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton.
Assembly Speaker-Elect Toni Atkins will be the keynote speaker, and will receive the Harvey Milk Equality Award in recognition of her leadership in the ongoing struggle for LGBT equality and justice.
The Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast began as the vision of Nicole Murray Ramirez, Robert Gleason, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, and a coalition of civic and business leaders. The event is designed to bring together more than 1,000 diverse San Diegans, business, labor, Democrats, Republicans, all communities, all ages who support equality and justice – to celebrate the memory of civil rights activist Harvey Milk.
