North County, CA–Señor Grubby’s Carlsbad and Oceanside is throwing a huge Christmas party for the community-all for a good cause.

The family event celebrates the holidays while raising funds for Got Your Back San Diego, a North County-based nonprofit weekend food assistance program developed specifically for children who depend on school cafeteria food for their primary source of nutrition.

Festivities will take place on December 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. and December 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Oceanside and Carlsbad locations. From 6 to 8 p.m., 20% of all sales will be donated back to Got Your Back San Diego.

The public is encouraged to bring canned spaghetti sauce, canned chili, and shelf-stable milk in individual-sized containers to the party.

The celebration will feature cookie decorating, coffee and hot cocoa, fire truck rides on the Carlsbad Fire Department’s antique fire engine (in Carlsbad); photo booth memories; face painting; elves; pictures with Santa; music; food; raffles including prizes from Culture Brewing Co., Bitchin’ Sauce, Emerald Isle, Tan by the Sea, Lola’s Deli, Grand Ave Bar and Grill, Vital Climbing Gym, Vigilucci’s, and Cicciotti’s with 100% of raffle sales being donated back to Got Your Back San Diego.

“We thank the community for their many years of support and believing in what we do,” said Justin Jachura, President and co-founder of Señor Grubby’s.

“We at Got Your Back SD are overjoyed to be the recipients of the great efforts put forth again this year by the Señor Grubby’s team. We have found that linking our arms together in this community makes it happen for kids,” said Sue McLeod, co-founder of American Relief Organization.

Other businesses in support of the fundraiser include Solis Real Estate, E&D Framers, South O Brewing, Genesis Payment Solutions, Los Tacos, Notorious Burgers, Inglourious Bagels, Burgeon Beer Company, Richness of Giving, Baba Coffee, Carlsbad Fire Department, Pacific Coast Printing, and The Flowerbooth Co.
