San Diego, CA–The 17th annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast returns to San Diego on May 16, bringing together LGBTQ-plus community members, allies, and civic leaders to honor the legacy of the iconic civil rights leader Harvey Milk.
The event will be held at the Town and Country Resort at 500 Hotel Circle North in Mission Valley. Doors open at 7 a.m., and the official program begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and concludes by 9:30 a.m.
This year’s breakfast will spotlight several individuals and organizations making significant strides in the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

The California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus will be honored with the Harvey Milk Leadership Award for its influential advocacy and policy work on behalf of LGBTQ+ communities throughout the state.

The breakfast is organized by an all-volunteer team and co-chaired by Rickie Brown, Laurie Black, Bruce Abrams, and Ryan Bedrosian. Community icon Nicole Murray Ramirez, a founder of the event and prominent LGBTQ-plus leader, also plays a key role in organizing the gathering alongside a dedicated planning committee.
“Each year, this event brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate our shared commitment to justice, visibility, and community,” said Murray Ramirez. “We invite everyone to join us as we honor these changemakers who embody Harvey Milk’s legacy of hope and action.”
