Del Mar, CA–WAVE Volleyball has been named California’s top youth volleyball club for the second year by USA Volleyball.
WAVE was also named a top 5 club nationwide for the second year.
“We are so honored to receive this recognition as the No. 1 Volleyball Club in California for the second year in a row,” said Brennan Dean, executive director of WAVE. “Our WAVE athletes, coaches, staff, and families are what makes WAVE so special. This success is a direct reflection of the hard work they all put in on and off the court and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
Established in 1998, WAVE offers comprehensive indoor and beach volleyball training for boys and girls from kindergarten through 12th grade and provides adult beach league opportunities.
WAVE athletes — many of whom go on to play at Division I universities — train primarily at the 22nd District Agricultural Association’s Surf & Turf Recreation Center campus, which is located across Jimmy Durante from the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
“As the premier destination for events and activities in San Diego County, we are proud to be the home of the state’s top volleyball club,” said Carlene Moore, the District’s CEO. “We strive for excellence as we serve our community, and we congratulate WAVE for achieving this amazing honor.”
