San Diego, CA–In a commanding display of skill and determination, San Diego State seized control from the first whistle and maintained a firm grip throughout, securing a decisive 72-61 victory over the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a Saturday clash.

Leading the charge was Jaedon LeDee, who notched an impressive 20 points and 11 rebounds, marking his seventh double-double of the season. The senior forward showcased his prowess early on, narrowly missing a double-double in the first half alone with 11 points and eight boards.

Joining LeDee in the scoring spectacle, Micah Parrish and Darrion Trammell both reached double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

The Aztecs (13-2, 2-0 Mountain West) wasted no time in establishing dominance, surging to a commanding 15-point lead within the initial seven minutes. During this period, their offense shone with a 66.7% shooting accuracy (6-of-9), while their defense stifled the Rebels (7-6, 0-1 MW) to a mere 9.1% success rate (1-of-11). At halftime, San Diego State held a 10-point advantage, limiting UNLV to a paltry 14% shooting from the field.

Despite a spirited effort from UNLV with a 13-6 scoring run after halftime, narrowing the Aztec lead to six points, San Diego State promptly reasserted control. The Scarlet and Black extended their advantage back into double digits, comfortably cruising to a final score of 72-61.

Looking ahead, San Diego State sets its sights on the first road challenge of Mountain West play, facing off against San Jose State in a matchup with the Spartans. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
